U16 OSG 2008 Timeline and Costs

 

Includes:

40 hours of training

NCCP Level I / II Coaches

Tournament in April

Tournament in August (OSG)

Total cost @ $550 per player

 

 

January – April 2008

• Trial Fee @ $25 per player
• Selection Fee @ $125
• Includes 21 hours of training

April 2008 – Seeding Tournament

• All Regions (Girls and Boys) will play in a round Robin tournament
• Date:  April 25 / 26 / 27
• Costs Inclusive of $125
• Provincial U16 Coaches will scout athletes for Provincial Teams

April – August 2008 (OSG Ottawa Aug. 13-17)

• Continue Training under new Schedule (TBA @ Seeding Tournament)
• New costs of $400 per player which includes:

Training (April – August)

Uniforms (Colors TBA)

Transportation (Pick up and Drop Off)

Lodging

Food

Tournament Fee

 

Coaching Criteria

 

Head Coach

• All nominated Head Coaches must be Level II certified to be able to coach OSG.
• If a Head Coach is a current Level I then he/she must attend the Level II Technical being offered on February 22-24 2008.
• This is at no cost to the Head coaches                                                                               

 

Assistant Coach

• All Assistant Coaches must be Level I certified to be able to coach at the OSG
• If the Assistant coaches currently have No Level or only a Community Coach then he /she must attend the Level I Technical course that is being offered on Feb 10^th  2008.  All information will be sent to the coaches that require this level.
• Assistant Coaches wanting to attend the Level II Technical must register on the Coaches Association Of Ontario http://www.coachesontario.ca/content/view/170/90/
• Costs for the session are $110 (includes sessions and food)
