Waterloo's Phil Hignell Named April Coach-of-the-Month
"Tell me what you can do, not what you can't"
Phil Hignell is seen as the backbone in the sport of Field Hockey in the
Kitchener-Waterloo community. His commitment and passion for the sport spans
many years and has brought him from coaching for local recreational clubs all
the way to the Ontario Summer Games. Phil began coaching by starting a junior
field hockey club in Kitchener-Waterloo, he, along with friends and the parents
of other athletes, coached the sport and saw their efforts begin to payoff as the
club gradually grew.
