2010 Provincial Indoor Tournament
The Provincial Indoor Tournament will take place at
RIM Park, Waterloo Saturday and Sunday February 27 & 28, 2010. There will be 24 teams
consisting of U12, U18/19(High School registered) and Masters ages. All players must be
current FHO members. Please see the 2010 Provincial Indoor Flyer for complete details
and registration information.

Intro to Competition -Field Hockey Coaching Course
This course will be held at the University of Toronto Athletic Centre Friday,
Saturday & Sunday, February 19-21. The cost will be $200.00 per coach. Please see Flyer for complete details.

FISCU Championships Call for Athletes
FISCU, the Federation of International Sports Universities will be holding, the 1st World
University Men's and Women's Field Hockey Championships in Edinburgh, Scotland, August 29th-September 5, 2010.
CIS is issuing this call for applications for student-athletes interested in being considered for selection
to team Canada. Please see the FISCU Flyer for complete details and eligibility for selection.
Deadline for Application: FEBRUARY 19, 2010 -must be accompanied by
a cheque for $750.00 deposit cheque, payable to CIS 2010 FISCU Field Hockey. (Upon selection to Team Canada, the deposit
becomes non-refundable)
Interested athletes must submit a brief resumé of their playing experience, in addition to a letter or reference from
their institution’s head coach via email to:

FISCU Championships Call for Staff
The 1st World University Men's and Women's Field Hockey Championships will be
held in Edinburgh, Scotland, August 29th-September 5, 2010. There are 4 staff positions to be filled per team:
Team Leader, Coaches and Team Therapist. In addition, Canada will be required to send a FIH rated umpire to
the Championship. Please see the FISCU Flyer for complete details and requirements for these positions.

Clarification for New Indoor Rules
In order to assist umpires with their performance during the 2009/2010 Indoor season
the FHC Officiating Committee would like to direct their attention to the attached document published by England Hockey
which provides guidance on the interpretations of the 2009 FIH Rules of Indoor Hockey.

Anyone needing a copy of the insurance certificate for FHO
dated April 1, 2009 to April 1, 2010 - please contact fhoboard@gmail.com. Once it is verified
that your club is a current member, the certificate will be sent.
